Excellent fresh sushi, green tea and sparkling sake. Friendly, gracious and affordable. Small space, hidden spot just off main street and close to River. Only serves until fish is gone.
The BEST and the FRESHEST sushi we've had in Japan!! We were lucky to get seats for 5 right away when we reached around 11am++. The staffs were very friendly and attentive. The sushi were all so fresh and delicious especially the scallops!! Scallops were just SO GOOD that we ordered another plate after finishing it. Highly recommend to those who are visiting Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Make sure to come early as they have limited seats in the shop & they served limited number of pax per day.
Great sushi that is balanced and taste well. They do provide advice on whicb suahi should go with soy sauce. The atmosphere is great with good quality service. Highly recommend this place if you are in Arashimaya area.

A small outset but wins big on the taste. We tried fat tuna sushi (3.5/5), Eel sushi (5/5) and scallop suchi (5/5).
Must try this when you are in Kyoto! I recommend getting there early because the place is small and after 12 p.m there will be more people lining up. The fish so fresh and thick. You also get free hot/ cold green tea. The staff is also friendly. Absolutely going back on my next trip!
Absolutely delicious food and amazing service. They were so friendly and accommodating. Price is affordable for a touristy area plus you get free water and cold/hot tea. Sushi was delicious and fatty. We highly recommend the tuna and unagi!
